Amy Kingston and Antonio

Amy and Antonio have been selected as our Volunteers of the Month for May. Amy is a communications major at Texas A&M and will be graduating this may! Antonio is an Economics major at Blinn College, completing his sophomore year ad will be transfering to Texas A&M in the fall. They came to the ranch to give of their time and skills to help us on marketing needs. We had such a fun day with them!

We were blessed beyond measure having them join our efforts! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of our dreams becoming reality at WhistleStop Acres! May the blessings return 10 fold!

Past Volunteers of the Month

The Forbes Family from Canada

The Forbes Family have been selected as our Volunteers of the Month for March. They traveled all the way from Canada to visit WhistleStop Acres and stayed almost two weeks. During that time, they worked hand in hand with us to achieve goals and complete daily tasks. The work ethic from all of them was, “we will work first then play!” They, like us, found the secret sauce… work here IS play! Even the chores are fun! The work is hard, but the reward makes what was supposed to be a a few days visit turn into two weeks. They left with all of us having full hearts, joy in our memories, and tears in our eyes.

We were blessed beyond measure having them join our efforts! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of our dreams becoming reality at WhistleStop Acres! May the blessings return 10 fold! Come back SOON!

Misti Robinson

Misti has been selected as our Volunteer of the Month for January. She is a former HR executive who is in the process of starting her own small business while actively enjoying her son’s final years of High School. She is married and lives in Chicago, Illinois. She has a lot going on in her life, but still voluntarily chose to purchase an airline ticket to Texas, where instead of vacation, she came to work… and work she did! She worked tirelessly with anything needed or asked of her and she did it with a joy that was contagious. She “gets” the ranch and what it does for people; and my favorite words she spoke were, “I love it. I seriously don’t want to leave!” She spoke that with an aching back, tired muscles, and a warm heart!

We were enriched by her presence, efforts, and every sacrifice made to be a part of our mission and are proud to celebrate her with a shout out! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of our dreams becoming reality at WhistleStop Acres! May the blessings return 10 fold! Come back SOON!

Travis Burkhalter

Travis has been Selected as our Volunteer of the Month for November. He is a sales associates at College Station Nissan full time, but has given of his time, energy, and muscles on several of his days off to come to the ranch and support the prep work gone into being ready for our grand opening.

We deeply appreciate his willingness to sacrifice of his time for our mission and want to celebrate him with a shout out! Thank you for all you have already done to support our dreams at WhistleStop Acres! May the blessings return 10 fold!
